Q. What is Co-Location?
A. Co-Location is where you place your server in our datacenter to make use of our high speed internet backbone connection. The most common use is for web servers.

Q. Can I access my server in the Co-Location facility?
A. Yes, part of our co-location agreement is you get access when you require. You may access your servers anytime during normal working hours, and if there is a urgent need to access your servers out of normal working hours, you may ring a special out of hours number and one of our engineers will arrange to meet you at our facility (even on public holidays like Christmas if necessary!).

Q. Do I need to be a networking or server expert to co-locate?
A. No, we are happy to offer advice and help in setting up your equipment correctly.

Q. Do I need to visit the co-location facility to install the machine?
A. No just sent it to us and we will be happy to hook-up the machine and give you your IP addresses details for remote access to your server.

Q. Can you advise on internet security issues?
A. yes, we can advise on security issues to protect your server from hackers and viruses and can even supply dedicated firewall hardware if you require.

Q. Do I need to visit the co-location facility to do simple maintenance tasks?
A. No, we are happy to do the following tasks free of charge:

• Reset the machine
• Replace hard drive
• Install memory
• Change backup tapes

Q. I may need to remotely reset my server, is this possible?
A. Yes, we have a special web control panel you can access to remotely cut power to your server causing a full shutdown and reboot when you need it!

Q. Can I get statistics for traffic to my server?
A. Yes, we provide a web interface to monitor all network traffic to your server.

Q. Can I have my machine backed up upon request?
A. Yes, we are happy to discuss your backup requirements and have a number of backup options available from simple FTP backup to off site tape backup.

Q. How many IP addresses can I have per server?
A. We supply five IP addresses as standard, and we are happy to supply more free if required.
